SUPER MAMA – Stand up special based on a true story

Being a mom is beautiful. Being a funny mom? That’s cheaper than therapy. In my debut stand-up comedy special, I dive headfirst into the absurd, messy, and painfully relatable chaos of motherhood — from going into labor in a diesel VW to realizing I haven’t peed alone since 2019. I’ve got sarcasm sharper than kindergarten scissors, a pink fur coat that deserves its own Instagram, and stories no parenting book ever warned you about. If you’ve ever judged another mom, sent your kid to school with two left shoes, or screamed into a pillow while making dinosaur-shaped pancakes — welcome. You’re not alone. Because behind every “Super Mama” is a woman one sippy cup away from losing her mind… and still laughing through it.

Hi! I am SOLVEIGA BAKĖ

A comedian, mom, and former driving instructor from Lithuania — which basically means I’ve risked my life both onstage and on the road. I do comedy based on true stories: motherhood, marriage, kids, and all the hilarious disasters in between. My humor is honest, a bit sarcastic, and always from the heart — because if I didn’t laugh, I’d just cry… and then laugh again.

TOTALLY REAL AND UNPOLISHED FEEDBACK

I didn’t know what to expect but really enjoy the 45 minutes long jokes, songs and crazy stories.

Beautiful moments arrive when Solveiga picks up her ukulele and sings her own gentle lyrics to well known pop songs. Her voice is pure and she sings with a lovely earnestness.

GOING FOR THE DREAM

I dreamed of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival — the world’s biggest stage for weird, wonderful, and wildly creative souls. And now… I’m doing it. This August, I’m taking my comedy show — packed with honesty, laughter, and a bit of chaos — to Edinburgh. It’s a dream that took courage, late-night writing, and an absurd amount of snacks to chase. I’m not going just to perform. I’m going to grow. If you believe in dreams and love humour — follow this journey, support it if you can, and let’s meet under the Scottish rain (or in a cozy venue).
